Local Community

As a cornerstone company in Lillestrøm, Dynea takes pride in being a local employer, a responsible neighbour and an active participant in the local community.
Dynea's Role as a Local Employer
Dynea Lillestrøm employs around 200 people, offering a wide range of opportunities - from permanent jobs and apprenticeships to student thesis collaborations. Many of our employees have been with us for decades, contributing to a strong sense of community and continuity.
Our workplace reflects a rich diversity, with talents from various nationalities and backgrounds. We maintain a close and constructive dialogue between unions and management, ensuring a fair and inclusive environment for all.
We have corporate sports teams across different areas, where employees come together for both training and competition. Dynea’s retirees’ association also meets regularly and organize excursions. Our social events for all employees are a popular way to connect with colleagues.
Dynea as a Neighbour
Dynea follows strict regulations and permits set by the regulatory bodies, such as the Norwegian Environmental Agency (Miljødirektoratet) and The Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority (Arbeidstilsynet), to ensure the safety of our employees, our neighbours and the local ecosystem.
We regularly communicate with local municipality about our operations.
We have regular Health, Safety and Environmental exercises, both internally and with external forces. Over the years, we have developed an excellent collaboration with external emergency forces. For example, we operate our own internal fire service with certified smoke divers, and we regularly conduct joint training exercises with external fire crews. These sessions not only strengthen our internal capabilities, but also provide valuable hands-on experience for professional firefighters who train with us.

Participation in the Local Community
Lillestrøm is known for being a large research community. Through Kjeller Innovasjon and Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm we maintain strong collaborations that allow us to both share and gain valuable knowledge. As part of a broader community, we actively promote Norwegian industry and innovation, i.e. in our contribution in Norwegian Wood Cluster and Future Materials.
We proudly support local sports initiatives, such as Lillestrøm Sports Club (LSK), as well as cultural and environmental projects, including the Norwegian start-up, Tiny Workers, and its work to create habitats — known as “Pollinator Parks” — for wild bees in urban areas.
