Successful Start-up of Röhm Bay City Formaldehyde Plant

LILLESTRØM, Norway – (04/07-2025) – Dynea AS (Dynea) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the commissioning and commencement of commercial operations for its latest fasil® Silver Formaldehyde Plant license to Röhm.
Overview
The plant located in Bay City, Texas, USA has a capacity in the δ-range (50 – 110 kTPA as 100% FA) and will deliver formaldehyde solution for the manufacturing of MMA. The MMA plant operated by Röhm has a 250.000 metric-ton annual capacity and is Röhm’s first C2-based MMA plant in North America using proprietary LiMA technology.
Our collaboration with Röhm began many years ago, with Röhm appreciating fasil®’s excellent product properties which align well with the requirements of the LiMA technology. It is an honor to now be part of the successful start of production on a large industrial scale and we look forward to continuing supporting Röhm with further optimization and development of the LiMA technology.Lars R.
